I have been involved in the landscape and sports industry for over 28 years. I was a member of the Grounds Crew at the Beaverton School District, where I spent virtually all my employment working on sports fields. This exposure to sports fields of all kinds, in all kinds of conditions, allowed me to develop a skill for making sports fields work, on small budgets and with a limited amount of equipment and other input resources.

I spent an number of years as a field representative for two different Toro distributors in Oregon and Southwest Washington. This experience allowed me to see and visit many sports fields and golf courses in Oregon and Southwest Washington, and additionally provided me with the opportunity to travel around the United States and observe the maintenance and care operations at many sports fields and golf courses.This was a very broad exposure to industry methods and procedures, that I use each day in helping produce quality sports facilities for my clients. I also served as the Operations Manager of 2 different multi -million dollar landscape companies.

I was the owner and project manager at Western Sports Turf in 2005 through 2009. I started the business originally to  serve a need for quality, results oriented sports field services in Oregon and Washington. I was also elected to serve the industry as Commercial Vice President of the Oregon Sports Turf Managers from December 2008 to December 2009, and pleased to be on the Charter Board of Directors of this great group.
